Choose the source card, a local primary destination, and optionally a second backup destination. Select Preserve Card or Media Only, review the scan and preflight results, then start the transfer. Keep the card and every destination connected until CardVault finishes.
CardVault computes a SHA-256 digest for each source file, rereads each destination copy, and compares the result. A destination is verified only when every expected file matches.
No. Safe to eject means CardVault has closed its source handles and saved its recovery state, so you can eject the card from your Mac. CardVault never declares a card safe to erase.
Preserve Card copies the complete folder structure. Media Only copies recognized photographs, RAW files, videos, and XMP sidecars while preserving their relative folders and reporting excluded files.
